Young Parents' Diets Affect Children (GMA Health)
Last week I woke up early (4:30 am!) for an interview with Good Morning America Health on a new study released this month in the American Academy of Pediatrics Journal, Pediatrics. This study showed that young mothers had poorer nutrition, consumed more calories and had a higher body mass index compared with women without children. And that both moms and dads exercised less than adults without children.
As a parent you are your child’s best role model and if you eat healthy and exercise, they will too. So make some changes, even small ones, to improve your health and the health of your family. Check out my segment for tips on improving your diet and getting more exercise. And, yes I did say, stop playing angry birds and go outside with your family and look for birds!
