Baby's Soft Spots

  • By Dr. Tanya
  • In Infants (4 to 12 months), Newborns (birth to 3 months)

Babies are born with two soft spots. One in the front which most people are aware of and one in the back. The soft spot in the back usually closes around three to four months and the one in the front usually closes around a year old.

There’s nothing parents need to do for the soft spots. Your pediatrician will keep an eye on it at each visit.
