Old enough to bathe alone? – Web MD

Wondering when you can take a step back and let your children shower or bathe alone?  As a pediatrician, I talk about bath safety from day one. Never leave a child alone in the bath — not even for a moment. In the time it takes to answer the phone or grab a towel, a child can quickly and quietly slip under and drown in just a few inches of water.  As a mom, safety is still my top priority, but with two kids at different ages, one who prefers the tub and the other who now likes to shower, I needed to take a little step back and teach them to scrub a dub on their own.

Useful tips for guiding bath time independence.
