Bath Time Safety

  • By Dr. Tanya
  • In Infants (4 to 12 months), Newborns (birth to 3 months), Toddler (1-3 years)

Giving baby a bath is a fun time for parents but bath time safety is very important. Babies can drown in just a few centimeters of water so you should never leave your infant or baby alone in the bath tub for even a second.

Before putting baby in the bath, make sure you have everything at arms reach. If you need to leave the bathroom for a second, wrap the toddler in a towel and take them with you. Always check the water temperature before putting baby in the bath.
