When do Babies Sit Up?

  • By Dr. Tanya
  • In Infants (4 to 12 months)

Babies will begin sitting on their own between 6 and 8 months of age. At first babies may require a little support so use things like pillows.

    • Keep babies on soft surfaces.
    • Let babies have fun

  • Give time on ground to play
  • Let babies roll around
  • Let babies learn to sit up on their own
