Hearing Screening for Newborns

  • By Dr. Tanya
  • In Medical Information, Newborns (birth to 3 months), Preschooler (3-5 years)

Babies are born hearing and are required to get a hearing test before leaving the hospital.

If you have any concern once you are home with your baby reacting to sounds, contact your pediatrician. As children get older pediatricians will start hearing screenings around 3 or 4 years of age.
