Is Baby not Talking Yet?

  • By Dr. Tanya
  • In Toddler (1-3 years)

Everyone cannot wait for baby’s first words… “Mommy”, “Daddy”, “Hi”, anything to hear the sweet angelic voice of your little one.

    • All children develop differently
    • Some will say many words by 1 year
    • Some won’t say their first word until 15 months

  • There are 2 types of language: Receptive and Expressive
  • Make sure to discuss with your pediatrician if concerned
  • By 2 years a child should be able to put two words together
